Sandra Marquardt is a seasoned public relations professional with extensive experience providing media outreach, event coordination, and research services for non-profit organizations, companies, and trade associations.

Sandra has worked extensively in the agricultural, apparel/textile, environmental, food, and socially responsible investing sectors developing media strategies and materials including press releases, fact sheets, congressional testimony, talking points, articles, and social media posts. She has also conducted in-depth research into organic beverage and fiber markets and regulations, and has authored several studies in addition to coordinating high visibility media events including organic coffee samplings, fashion shows, and press conferences.

Recent clients include the Federation of American Scientists, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, the Organic Trade Association, the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center, and the Sustainable Food Trade Association.

Prior to founding On the Mark PR, she was a senior associate at the Washington, D.C.-based public affairs firm M+R Strategic Services, and from 1998-2004, she coordinated the activities and promotions of approximately 170 Organic Trade Association Fiber Council member companies. From 1982 to 1998, she worked with several environmental non-profit organizations including Consumers Union, Environmental Policy Institute, and Greenpeace on agriculture, pesticide, and water quality issues.

Given her PR work on a wide range of topics, Sandra has placed numerous pieces with print, broadcast, and online media, and is energetic, resourceful, and a self-starter. She coordinates an organic farmers market on weekends, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1982.

She has worked with Brodie Collins Consulting  since 2012.
